The 68th Annual Fall Portland Metro Dealers RV Show runs November 12–15, 2026, at the Portland Expo Center. It’s a chance to walk through RVs and picture a trip to the Coast, the Gorge, or somewhere you haven’t picked yet. Before you get caught up in floor plans, spend five minutes in one of the smallest rooms on board. [1]
An RV bathroom makes you notice things a larger room lets you ignore. Where does the door swing? Where does a wet towel go? Can you turn around without bumping into something? Those are useful questions even if you’re not buying an RV.
The five-minute bathroom test
Pick an RV you could realistically see yourself using. Ask the dealer before stepping into the shower or handling any fixtures, then check:
- The entry: Is there a step you’d notice when you’re tired or carrying something? Does the door get in the way?
- Room to move: Could you reach what you need without twisting around a door, curtain, or fixture?
- The wet-towel problem: After a rainy weekend away, where would damp towels and clothes actually go?
- Everyday storage: Are the things you’d use daily within easy reach, or tucked somewhere awkward?
- Cleaning: Look at corners, seams, and surfaces. Which spots would be easy to wipe down, and which would you dread cleaning?
You’re not looking for the “best” RV bathroom. You’re learning which trade-offs bother you and which ones don’t.
Take the useful part home
An RV shower and a home shower are different products built for different jobs. But the test can sharpen your thinking about your bathroom at home. Maybe you’ve been focused on the color of a new surround when the real frustration is stepping over the tub. Maybe the shower is large enough, but the door makes getting in and out awkward. Or maybe you need to keep a bathtub because it still works better for your household.
Those are better starting points for a remodel conversation than a photo of a bathroom you’ll never use.
Bath Pros NW is listed among the show’s exhibitors. If the RV bathroom test gets you thinking about the bath or shower at home, come talk with us. We install residential bath and shower systems; we don’t sell or remodel RV bathrooms. [2]
Plan your visit
The show is in Halls A–E at the Portland Expo Center, 2025 North Expo Road. Posted hours are 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. Check the official event page for tickets and current details before you go. [1]
Coming without a car? The MAX Yellow Line stops at Expo Center. If you’re driving, the venue recommends checking event-specific parking information; its standard parking rate may differ during special events. The walk from parking or transit can be exposed to the weather, so bring a layer if the forecast looks like Portland in November. [3]
